Description
Also known as Ceropegia Woodii. This hardy, low-maintenance houseplant has very pretty heart-shaped foliage, hence the name! This is a vine type plant that grows long, wispy trails.
Light conditions: indirect, bright light. Ideally, allow the plant to receive a few hours of sun each day (although not all day as the leaves will burn).
Neediness: an easy to care for houseplant, as it is a semi-succulent which stores water in its stems and leaves. It’s much more tolerant of dry soil than wet.
Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist throughout the warmer months and it can be treated like a succulent so do allow it to dry out between watering. During the winter months, the plant is dormant so water much less frequently.
Ideal location: bedrooms, living rooms, corridors, and studies
Rate of growth: fast-growing. The trailing vines can grow up to 2m in length.
Temperature: keep at a normal room temperature
Pets: this plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs.
